EXCLAMATION POINT

I finally started my journalism course a week ago and I'm so excited I can't even begin to tell you. I've only just gotten my second assignment and here's what it is: write an article (subject was selected in the first assignment), ideally within the next two weeks, and then you are going to try and sell it. SELL IT! OMG! I'm sooooo freaked out and at the same time so incredibly excited!!! I know there's a good chance no magazine will buy my first article, but I won't let that bring me down. Eventually it will happen ;)

Part of me becoming a journalist is making reading my second nature. Check. I just have to make sure I read something worth while. I've been thinking of subscribing Life- magazine since it's so hard to find from the stores here... Instead of Life I found these:

Trust me, they have a lot worth while reading there ;)

Well planned = half done

My friends and I were talking about what we should do with our lives -what we would like to do and what we should do. One of them said she wouldn't want to move anywhere now that she's got a perfect apartment she loves and after purchasing new furniture she sure ain't moving anytime soon. I said that I could sell everything I own right this second and go see the world. Well, I might be too much of a coward to do that, but you get the idea.

I've moved three times in my life and not once have I settled in at my apartment. There are always paintings leaning against the wall, waiting for me to hang them up. Never gonna happen... My balcony's full of stuff I can't place anywhere (my current apt is kinda small..). I always have my eyes open for upcoming opportunities, I'm always waiting for the first chance to pack up again and leave. I've come to the conclusion that maybe it's a good thing I'm still single and unattached. I have the choice to decide what I want to do, and if you've been reading this blog you don't need many guesses to know what it is that I want to do with my life.

I have plans, I tell you that much. If it wasn't for school and work I would set them to action right now, but all in good time. My plans still have a billion chances to change.

There's ALWAYS room for chocolate

Right now I'm starting to feel very occupied. Not yet, though. I have about three weeks before I have to kick in the full speed and work like a maniac for the rest of the year, and here's why:

1. My boss decided to promote me and I'm currently being trained to be a shift manager (when in need), and as one of our permanent shift managers takes her two-week vacation soon I will be working more in addition to going to school.

2. My Journalism course begins this month! YES! This is something I'm very excited about and what will probably be one of my first priorities. So then it's journalism, work, school.

3. I'm now studying my final year and I have to write this report-kind-of thing (at least 5-7 pages + introduction, possible pictures etc.) We were allowed to pick the subject and mine is -of course- chocolate, and its use in baking. This gives me a chance to do a lot of baking outside of school and test for different kinds of recipes which is fun, but there's also the report-part which -as much as I love to write- isn't so much...

I will probably post pictures of my grand chocolate creations (haha) later this year, stay tuned ppl!

So yes, my plate getting pretty full and I already dread the lack of time I'm sure to experience at some point. I know I will get things done but until I do I'm not the most companionable person to have around.

But I still have some time to relax before the madness begins ;) Trust me, I'm going to enjoy it.
