just 1,5 hour flight away

I'm aware that I sometimes trash my home country, but I do admit there's at least one good thing about it: it's within an easy distance from the rest of Europe. Not the rest of the world, but Europe. And sometimes it's good to take advantage of that little fact.

Last year my mother went on a business trip to Copenhagen for just one day. She flew there in the morning and back home in the evening. After that she came to the conclusion that you could see a whole lot in just one day, and inspired by that, she booked a day-trip for herself, me and my brother, to Oslo, Norway. That trip took place yesterday.

I was surprised at how much Norway resembled Finland. Except for the mountains. They certainly made the land scape more interesting. And Oslo was quite an unusual city, I think. It was a perfect mixture of old and modern architecture -no buildings next to each other were alike. Another thing worth mentioning: people in Norway are maniacs on the road. They speed like crazy and drive pass you even if their exit is right there, 50 feet away. But all in all we had a great day :) Here's some visual evidence:
