Hey ya'll... I've been kinda MIA for a while but I don't know if that really matters :D I signed in to see if there's been any activity here and guess what? None. Nada. I know people have a lot more important stuff to figure out right now with the world being as crazy as it is, BUT, there's nothing wrong with tuning out of the reality and drowning yourself in fiction every once in a while. Seriously, try it.
I haven't exactly followed my own advice of drowning into fiction lately -I've bee drowning into work. I've pulled a few 14-hour days and some 12 -hour ones. Not that funny. It's OK if I don't have to do it all the time (which I don't, thank god for small favors). But after all this working and after not being able to spend as much time with my friends as I wanted, I've found myself dreaming of.... you know this one, right?... yes, traveling. So here's what my plan includes at the moment: graduate school, work for a year saving up money, sell all your stuff you can easily replace in the future, buy a one-way ticket to -where? USA or London. Yay! My life awaits. What about your plans for the future?
Let me know ;)

F stands for Figment, Facebook and Fantabulous which is what they are!
I just wanted to let you all know that I'm in love -with Figment. I mentioned Figment in one of my previous posts and if you haven't checked out my profile there, GO DO IT NOW! There's a good chance that if you love writing as much as I do, you'll fall in love with Figment (I love saying it over and over again -FigmentFigmentFigment!!!) as well. You can find so many great short stories, novels and poems there and give feedback, but the best part is that you actually receive feedback there yourself -unlike in some other online writing communities I've signed up. They're all dead compared to Figment (FIGMENTFIGMENT!) So by all means, go check it out ;)
Ok, I think I've promoted Figment enough for now... I dare say more to follow ;) And now I shall go and update my Facebook status.

And The Oscar Goes To...
My friends and I have a tradition to watch the Academy Awards every year, even though because of the time difference it means we have to stay up all night and get to go to sleep at 7am. So last night we printed out sheets from IMDB with all the nominees and marked down our own guesses of who's going to win. There were a few obvious winners, like Colin Firth for Best Actor and Natalie Portman for Best Actress, and when has a Pixar Film NOT won the Best Animated Feature?! It's also interesting to read the headlines about Melissa Leo dropping the F-Bomb in her speech...
I can't really remember any bad hosts in the past years, but this year James Franco hit the bottom. I mean come ON! Yeah, maybe he was nervous about his own nomination and hosting for the first time and all that, but how 'bout a little smile every once in blue moon? How 'bout loosing up a bit? He seemed a little arrogant, bored (how's that even possible is beyond me) and stiff. His co-host Anne Hathaway did a great job, though. She was relaxed and happy and funny, and her dresses (all billion of them) were pretty except for that weird blue thing that looked like a space costume. She must have had a very good hair dresser as well for her hair was different every time she stepped onto the stage.
All in all it was entertaining as always to watch and can't wait for next year's Oscars! Maybe then I'll guess more than 8 winners beforehand... Last year I guessed 14 so I guess James Franco isn't the only one to hit the bottom this year ;)

Little Devils
Have you ever noticed how these LITTLE things can just ruin your day from the second you get out of bed? These insignificant things that aren't even worth your attention... What do I mean? This:
- when someone/something pulls off your earphones (if you wanna talk to me, tap me on the shoulder, but NEVER EVER touch my earphones)
- when you pick something and drop it and have to pick it up again
- when you notice you've lost someone from your friend list on Facebook and you have no idea who it is!!
- when you receive a bill in the mail (that's right, I think bills aren't worth my attention :D)
-when you have a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear
-when you wanna cook something and you can't cos you're missing ONE incredient
That's to name a few... I swear I had a lot more in my mind this morning and I wasn't in such a good mood :D Oh well...
FYI the most annoying thing ever: PAPER CUTS! I just had two healed when I got a third one yesterday...
Have a great day everybody :)

When life gives you lemons, keep them -because hey, free lemons!
I watched Eat Pray Love today and I gotta say it is one of the most inspiring movies ever. Who wouldn't wanna forget about the reality for a while and just go and travel around the world? Yours truly surely would love that and let me tell you -if I had the money, I would totally go for it! But for now I'll just settle into fininshing my education and after that it's bye bye for a while. I haven't decided yet where I'm gonna head to, but here are the possible options:
1. USA (that is if I manage to get a greencard haha) ;)
2. Italy (to be more precise -Tuscany)
3. Australia (probably not gonna happen)
4. London, England
I realize I have been talking about traveling a lot, but it's my favorite subject. That and writing. How great would it be to go to Tuscany country side and write while enjoying the solitude... To create a pretty image it would be just me and my notebook, but in reality it's me and my laptop with internet connection (come on, you gotta have some connection to other people, and how else would I be able to post here and let you all know how awesome my life is?! ;)
Life tends to get difficult every once in a while but when you get the choise to sit it out or dance, I say dance! That way you won't have to lie about what you've done in your life when you're old and your grandkids wanna hear stories. You gotta live so you have something to share. I know from experience it can be scary as h*** to go after something you want, but I also know that when you do it, it pays off in the end -even if everything doesn't go according to plan.
I remember when I was sixteen and thinking that by the time I would be twenty, I would've done so much. Four years seemed like a lifetime to me. Oh well, that's teenage logic for you. I'll be 22 this summer and though I've seen and experienced a lot, I've also come to see that four years is a blink of an eye and if I don't pursue my dreams now, then before I know it I'll be 26 and wondering where did all the time go. And after that it's 30... I could go on forever.
See ya later, alligator :)

Summer's only three months away....
I am happy to tell you that I got a part-time job! YAY! That's one down from the list! I've also started studying Italian independently. So I've got a good start... or that's what I like to think.
It's a brisk and COLD morning! I realized I have nothing for breakfast but I'd rather starve than go outside and make my way to the grocery store in that weather. My younger brother's in Africa at the moment, great for him. As for me and my poor car... stupid Nordica. I'm going to a friend's house today and she has this dog the size of a small cow so guess who's going for a walk tonight?! It would be fine if I could at least feel my own face when I got back. Well, maybe the couple of Stress Relievers (wine bottles that is) I'm taking with me will make up for it ;)
That's all for now. I'm enclosing a pic taken from my balcony (heck no did I go out to the balcony, took the pic through the window!) so you could all see just how lovely it is here now... snowsnow!
Ciao!
